As a Senior Manager of Digital Risk in the Risk Consulting sub-service line based in Sydney, you’ll be a leader within a dynamic team dedicated to protecting and enhancing digital risks and compliance health of some of the world's leading organisations. You will be at the forefront helping our clients with managing the risks and challenges of a rapidly changing digital landscape, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to deliver valuable outcomes.
- Deliver broad ranging Risk Consulting engagements including enterprise risk management, business processes and controls advisory, ERP advisory (including SAP), programs and project risk management, data governance, resilience and technology-enabled Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions
- Lead and direct risk engagements, including the execution of assessments of IT processes against leading practice IT risk and security frameworks and common standards (e.g. CoBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Act)
- Manage teams to deliver digital and IT risk engagements in support of Internal Audits - including evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls (e.g. application & IT general controls)
- Mentoring and quality assuring teams, taking accountability for outcomes, delegating and supervising large teams, structuring engagements and engagement economics, designing innovative solutions and managing key elements of the business
- Developing and maintaining influential working relationships with clients
- Contribute to people-related initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training EY teams
- Actively identify opportunities to better serve clients
- Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff
- Leading business development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.
- At least 7-10 years of professional experience in Technology Risk Management related roles - – ideally significant time at a Big 4 consulting organisation
- A passion for emerging technologies and working within a team to advise clients on how to manage technology and digital risks and accelerate performance
- Demonstrated track record of being successful in winning new business
- A commercial mindset with technical and/or consulting experience in the following areas:
- Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Controls transformation (incl. controls optimisation)
- Internal Audit
- Portfolio, Program and Project Risk Management services
- ERP transformation, application security and configuration
- Resilience including physical security, business continuity and crisis management
- Regulatory Compliance (e.g. Privacy, SoCI Act, SOX, Spam Act)
- Other technology risk aspects include Data Governance, Responsible Use of AI, Risk Analytics and Third-Party Risk Management will also be well regarded
- Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (e.g. CISA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP)
- Experience working on engagements such as IT General Controls, SOC reporting, SOX
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in leading and delivering complex technology risk consulting projects, with a focus on innovation and client satisfaction
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team dedicated to excellence in the field of digital risk
