Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 7+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance or related field AND 9+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1) Experience in industry like Data Center / Infrastructure / Power / Oil & Gas industry managing large capital projects with Contractors & Equipment supplier management.
2) Experience in Supply Chain Management, Commercial Negotiations/Contracting and external Supplier/contractor Management across multiple projects spread across different locations.
3) 5+ years People management experience leading a team.
Responsibilities
Role Summary
The Sub-Regional DC Procurement Manager/Director establishes the development of multi-year sourcing strategies and protocols at scale for complex projects. Leads the integration of business specifications and sourcing strategies. Drives business impact by establishing functional standards and procurement performance expectations.
- Creates, maintains, and executes on procurement contracting strategies for multiple complex data center construction projects and/or purchasing opportunities to ensure optimal cost and sufficient continuity of supply and services.
- Drives Equipment localization and cost productivity projects for the projects in assigned Sub-region.
- Actively partners with strategic sourcing and suppliers to identify and drive continuous improvement and risk management opportunities.
