Product Photographer + Retoucher
IN A NUTSHELL
We’re a design brand, so visuals matter. We take pride in the way our products are made, and beautiful, meticulous product photography is key to getting that across to our customers. We're seeking a photographer to capture our growing product range in the best light and retouch imagery to ensure our customers have a world-class online experience. Blending meticulous studio shots with opportunities for on-location lifestyle photography, you'll work alongside our talented in-house creative team to create images that bring our products to life.
This role offers a change from the unpredictable pace of agency or freelance work. In this full-time role, you’ll have the consistency of a fully equipped studio, a thoughtful process, and an awesome team to work alongside. Our products stay within our range for many years, well beyond the months or seasons of other fashion brands so we care about the details.
If you thrive on precision, perfecting angles, shaping silhouettes, and refining details like leather textures and fabric hues, this role is for you. Bring us your steady hand, eye for detail, and passion for beautiful imagery. In return, we’ll provide the environment and resources to support the development of your craft.
YOU COULD BE THE ONE IF YOU HAVE…
- A strong understanding of studio photography and lighting
- 1-4 years of experience shooting e-commerce product photography
- Experience shooting lifestyle photography on location
- Experience of shooting tethered to Capture One
- Professional level post-production and retouching - Photoshop
- The ability to work methodically and enjoy taking a project from start to finish
- The desire to work for a product business doing great things
- An interest in AI and emerging technologies
IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK YOU MIGHT HAVE…
- Photographed a new collection of bags in our studio, shortlisting the features we want to capture and the props we’ll use to personalise them
- Worked with our Photography Lead to forward plan capacity, building out shot lists for the week ahead
- Joined a weekly team meeting with the Photography and Video team to understand new product release dates and planned to ensure deadlines are met
- Retouched product photography, received and implemented feedback from the Production team, and shared with the wider team for final approval
- Photographed lifestyle content for the next Bellroy printed Brand Guide, helping to shape shot lists in the lead-up
- Photographed new company portraits of our Bellroy crew and captured some beautiful imagery of the office spaces
- Brainstormed how you might shoot and style a new lifestyle backpack with our growing range of studio props
- Joined our Creative team for a blue skies brainstorming session on a Friday afternoon.
