The Mobile Foundations Team is responsible for establishing the core architecture and shared components that underpin our native mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. This team focuses on creating a robust and scalable application foundation that provides both best-in-class security and the highly polished user experience we pride ourselves on.
What you’ll do
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Tech Lead to join our Mobile Foundations team.
As a Mobile Tech Lead, you will serve as the principal architect for our distributed global mobile team, overseeing core features and infrastructure across Android and iOS. You will work closely with product engineering teams to design and implement architectural patterns that ensure high-quality, consistent user experiences on both platforms. You will also set the security standards that are critical in our role as a leading financial services company.
This role combines deep technical expertise with product thinking, and will provide opportunities for cross-region, cross-departmental leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement foundational mobile features, including authentication, security, information architecture, notifications, and styling consistency, for both Android and iOS platforms.
- Drive the implementation of an architectural framework that allows our distributed global mobile team to rapidly iterate in parallel on their various product features.
- Define and enforce cross-platform architectural patterns to ensure scalability, maintainability, and code quality across mobile applications.
- Drive consistent user experience across Android and iOS by developing shared resources, style guides, and reusable UI components.
- Provide mentorship and foster a culture of mobile engineering best practices.
- Manage mobile CI/CD processes, including code-signing, release automation, and deployment, to ensure efficient and reliable app releases to app stores.
- Collaborate with backend, product, UX, and QA teams to align mobile architecture with overall product and business goals.
Who you are
We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on mobile application development for both Android and iOS platforms.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages and frameworks for mobile development, such as Swift, Swift UI, Kotlin with coroutines, and Jetpack Compose.
- Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with fintech and global payment systems.
