About the role
Working alongside Folklore’s Head of Investor Relations (IR), this is a diverse and exciting role, at the heart of our limited partner activities. This role will manage and support operational activities to ensure successful execution of Folklore’s investor relations and distribution strategy, elevate efficiency, and support the ongoing requirements of a fast-growing investor base.
Keeping the IR wheels turning, this role will coordinate and enhance data management utilising Folklore’s limited partner portal, provide support to limited partners, support with coordination of events and marketing, support the fundraise process and work as a conduit between IR and other functions of the business. In this role, you will always be one step ahead of the Head of IR, anticipating what is needed to make the IR function as productive as possible, and Folklore perfectly positioned to succeed.
Core responsibilities
Investment operations
- Working with and providing support to the Head of IR to execute on fundraising campaigns across both institutional and wholesale investors
- Manage limited partner onboarding
- Support DDQ preparation for larger allocators, FOF and consultants alongside the investment team
- Resolve investor and prospective investor requests in a timely manner
- Proactively identify gaps to improve efficiency in the administration and coordination required in the IR function
- Coordinate and support internal and external stakeholder reporting including quarterly and annual investor reports in conjunction with the broader team
- Ensure data integrity and coordination of all internal resources relating to the investor relations function
- Proactive data room updates and maintenance
- Undertake market analysis periodically, implementing relevant improvements to the function
Investor portal/Folklore CRM
- Effective and timely pipeline management
- Ensure updates, progress and next steps are recorded and actioned
- Coordinate and evolve a data integrity program for the investor portal
- Coordinate with the finance function on delivery of investor statements and other external platform based communications
Communications and events
- Ensure every touch point with investors is smooth, professional, timely and accurate
- Plan key touch points along the investor journey and in relation to specific investor activities
- Manage data hygiene of email lists for investor updates
- Assist in preparing communication and marketing requirements to investors
- Organise and coordinate in person and online events, including managing invite coordination, RSVPs, on the day execution and support with marketing and communication channels for such events
- Preparation and maintain marketing materials and fundraising documents used for meetings and events
- Support with outbound account mapping and prospecting
About you
- A passion for technology and venture capital
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work
- Comfortable using a CRM alongside multiple other systems and platforms
- A background in one (or preferably more) of sales support, fundraising, relationship management, operations and communications, marketing, PR
- A self-starter, comfortable working autonomously, have a flexible mindset, and relish a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building positive internal and external stakeholder relationships
Whilst you will acquire a deep knowledge of the Folklore investment process and portfolio companies, have access to the Partnership group and be present in Investment Committee meetings (if you choose), this is not a position for someone seeking an entry point into a venture capital investment role.
