Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a 4-month paternity leave cover!
The Commerce team is the operational support team within the Nine Advertising Sales division. Commerce provides Sales team support by working with Sales leadership to define business goals, providing insights, and developing data-led strategies.
We are looking for a talented Business Analyst, based in our Sydney sales office, who has the business acumen to drive innovative and pragmatic technology solutions for our sales teams nationally.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the business process and technology solution are fully aligned with business goals and strategy.
- Evaluate, analyse and communicate business requirements, business processes and solution designs clearly and concisely.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business decisions.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders at different levels to gain business knowledge and understand their strategy and goals.
- Analyse market trends, emerging technologies and competitor landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the development team to deliver the best possible outcomes.
- Respond to queries from key stakeholders with supporting research and recommendations in a proactive and timely manner.
- Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with our Analytics and Systems teams to implement documented QAT testing plans and criteria to ensure technical delivery is in line with business expectations, compatible with broader system functionality and fit for purpose for end users.
- Work with our Analytics and Systems teams to develop, document and implement UAT testing plans and timelines for end user sign off.
- Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies for business growth.
- Bring creative problem solving to ongoing business issues.
- Work with pricing, intelligence, yield and inventory teams to develop revenue strategy, supported by deep audience and inventory insights.
- Work with programming and product teams to model audience growth and impact on inventory opportunity.
- Enact responsibility as a key internal stakeholder with revenue outcomes and sales team/client experience top of mind.
- Ad hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications
Essential qualifications, experience & skills:
- Experience working across large initiatives as well as BAU activities simultaneously.
- Experience liaising with internal development teams and external vendors to ensure the deliverables meet requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication, collaboration and relationship building skills; ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility with senior management.
- Strong influencing skills and judgement to get the balance right between challenging business management to ensure achievement of project objectives.
- Ability to work to challenging deadlines and deliver quality work in demanding fast paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying and solving complex problems/issues.
- Tertiary qualification in Information/Business Systems.
Desirable qualifications, experience & skills:
- Certification in Agile and / or Scrum processes (desirable).
- Media experience preferable, but not essential.
