Job Description
We have an exciting, fast-paced opportunity for a Finance Business Analyst to join Nine’s Total Television & Radio business partnering team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving financial analysis and business strategy across Linear TV, 9Now, and Radio, providing insights into financial performance, and optimising financial operations to support Nine’s goals. You will also support month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow modelling, and ad hoc business partnering requests.
Day to day you will:
- Analyse business performance trends & drivers to understand department costs and provide insights into variances between forecast, budget and prior year
- Partner with management on strategic decisions and provide financial modelling & analysis to advise on key decisions and initiatives
- Collaborate with the business & finance teams to prepare department forecasts
- Assist in the annual budget process and consolidation of the Total TV budget deliverables, 5 year plan target tracking and CFO reporting requirements/deliverables
- Provide input into the monthly cashflow modelling
- Leverage the financial system to enhance management reporting and streamline processes
- Prepare reporting and workpapers for external stakeholders & auditors
- Prepare adhoc analysis and reporting as required by the Total TV & Radio business partnering function
Qualifications
This role requires a keen ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
What we would like to see:
- Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work
- Proven ability to work efficiently under deadlines
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience in the Television or content production industry is desirable but not esssential
- Familiarity with Microsoft D365 and TM1 applications is desirable but not esssential
