Description
We are seeking an Employment Legal Compliance Senior Manager to be part
of Salesforce’s Global Labour & Employment team. This person will
partner closely with key internal business partners - Employee Success
(HR), Payroll, Business Technology, as well as other compliance teams
to proactively identify and prioritise employment legal-related risks
globally to help the business design and operationalise compliance
requirements and to monitor and audit controls. This role reports to the
Senior Director of Employment Law for JAPAC, which includes India, ASEAN
countries, Japan and Korea and Australia and New Zealand and will join
a team of two lawyers based in Sydney.
Position Overview:
The role will focus on developing our compliance requirements in
existing and new locations and translate them into compliant business
processes with our key internal partners. The individual will need to
have experience with the broad array of HR compliance requirements and
understand country, regional and local differences and requirements.
This role will help strengthen our compliance landscape by partnering
with teams around the world to help design, build and test compliant
business processes consistent with our focus on employee experience. The
individual will need to be comfortable working in a constantly changing
external and internal environment, running with the pace of the business,
working amidst ambiguity, and delivering on multiple simultaneous
priorities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
We are seeking candidates with substantial experience and subject matter
expertise in APAC HR-related compliance, employment law, and/or HR
operations, understanding of the employee lifecycle processes and
Workday system design, process improvement and project management
experience.
This hire will enjoy untangling the complexities of compliance
requirements, have the ability to explain them simply, and be
comfortable working with cross-functional partners to translate those
requirements into business process and system requirements. They will
work closely with the lawyers on the team to analyse new and existing
compliance requirements and translate those into easily understandable
steps for the business to implement. This role requires creative
thinking and excellent problem solving, and attention to detail to
deliver an excellent timely work product. The ability to build
relationships and communicate and collaborate well both within the team
is critical for success in this role. They will also work across time
zones, geography and topics and will be expected to present their work
to executives in both ES and LCA in regular verbal and written updates.

Required Skills/Experience (Basic Qualifications):

Experience synthesising legal and compliance requirements into business
processes

At least five years of experience in HR compliance, corporate
employment law, or HR operations

Workday experience from design to implementation and problem solving
-
At least three years’ experience managing and implementing projects and
reporting on project performance
- Expertise in developing process documentation and flowcharts

Experience testing, monitoring and auditing HR-related business
processes; collaboratively developing remediation plans; and
documenting the same

Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork and interpersonal
skills across all levels of the Company
- Cross-cultural experience particularly in the APAC region

Experience working in or with multinational companies (particularly in
the tech sector)

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly evolving
workplace

Ability to simultaneously manage complex workloads, multiple client
demands, and shifting priorities under tight deadlines
