Join Zip’s Technology function, responsible for building and maintaining seamless, secure and sustainable platforms that enable customers to shop with confidence and merchant partners to grow their brands.
As a Software Engineer in our web team, you will own our Global Zip website, Javascript Integration Widget, and of course our Web Component and SDKs used by teams at Zip. We are moving fast so be sure your work will rapidly find its way to production! We want to empower you with a strong sense of ownership.
Cool stuff you’ll be working on
- A website redesign for Zip, incorporating new features and APIs for an improved user experience.
- Full stack development of high quality software used by our teams, merchants and customers.
- Explore new technologies and share your findings with the wider engineering teams, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Contributing to development and maintenance of new features, bug fixes and tech debt.
- Cross functional projects collaborating with Engineers, Designers, PMs etc within Zip’s technological innovation.

- React and Next.js! We love both Server Side Rendering and React Server component experiences!
- Experience in backend API development using node.js.
- Typescript, Tailwind and SCSS module experience.
- Playwright or any other e2e testing frameworks.
- Flexibility, an open mind, curiosity and passion for learning.
