How will I help?
Reporting to our Executive Manager, Governance & Prescriptive Analytics, your role as a Manager, AI models, Model Risk will be critical in providing independent validation, insight, oversight, and challenge of AI models across all business areas.
You'll play an essential part in shaping our AI roadmap and enhancing model risk management practices. The role involves providing independent assessments for AI model approval and use, developing and promoting Model Risk practices and guidelines for AI models, and serving as a trusted risk partner for queries from Line 1, Model Owners, Audit, and Regulators.
Key Responsibilities include:

Conduct independent assessments of AI models, focusing on scope, data inputs, methodology, implementation, and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.

Build and maintain relationships with business and risk stakeholders to uplift model risk management practices.
- Drive the Group’s AI roadmap and ensure Model Risk practices are applied effectively.

Support the development and implementation of model risk policies, procedures, and guidelines for AI.

What do I need?
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in developing or validating AI models, strong programming skills in Python and R. Experience with the Azure platform is favourable.
Possessing project management expertise and an understanding of regulatory requirements across various risk classes is highly advantageous.
Key capabilities sought include leadership and coaching abilities, exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, proficiency in influencing non-technical and business stakeholders, and the ability to constructively challenge and drive improvements.
