The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a service provider and

Government Technology Platforms (GTP) forms part of Digital NSW and
delivers core and common digital capabilities and infrastructure solutions
including cross sector leadership across NSW Government underpinned by the
Digital Government Strategy.
The opportunity
We are inviting applications for the opportunity of Data Architect
for Government Technology Platforms, within Digital NSW as it transforms
to become the state's trusted partner to enable accessible and secure
digital platforms and services for the citizens and business of NSW.
In this role, you will define, communicate, and implement data and
information architecture across a complex portfolio of all-of-government
digital platforms, products, and services. You will collaborate within a
multidisciplinary team, including solution and systems architects, to
ensure alignment with organisational architecture, technical strategy, and
the product vision.
Day to Day Responsibilities

Analyse and model current and future state data architecture, ensuring
alignment with business and technical requirements

Develop and document data models, standards, terminologies, and
principles for the target state architecture

Design and support data migration strategies, including mapping,
transformation rules, and API schemas for system integration
-
Ensure data consistency across source and target systems, developing
rules for seamless data flow

Collaborate with development teams on diagnosing data-related issues and
creating SQL scripts and database procedures
What you will bring to this role
-
Extensive experience in database architecture, with expertise in both
legacy and emerging data management technologies

Proven success in developing and executing digital/technology roadmaps
and delivering complex, integrated ecosystems

Strong data modelling and design skills, with the ability to communicate
complex data relationships to both technical and business
stakeholders

Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI, predictive analytics, NoSQL
databases, and data visualisation

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or TOGAF 8+
Essential requirements

Tertiary qualifications in appropriate discipline and/or relevant
demonstrated working experience

Appointment and ongoing assignment may be subject to restrictions and the
satisfactory participation in mandatory pre-employment and ongoing

$145378 base plus superannuation
