We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as a Manager IT Security Controls reporting to the Executive Manager IT Security Controls, Secure Development and Resilience.
A bit about your role
As the Manager IT Security Controls, you will be responsible for defining and leading the target state for IT security controls. This involves aligning security controls to key risks and threats and collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders including control owners, Security Architecture, Security Program team, and Security Group. You will need to ensure the controls are in line with industry standards like ASD/ACSC Essential 8, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and relevant regulatory requirements.
In addition, you will drive the gap analysis from the current state to the desired target state, establishing a clear and actionable roadmap to bridge any gaps. You will take the lead in defining and operationalising the controls assurance plan, ensuring the target state controls are continuously tested and assessed. You will also spearhead the coordination of threat-based assurance testing in collaboration with Cyber Defence and Threat Intelligence teams, ensuring timely reporting and actionable results.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will bring experience in leading security controls and assurance plans. You are adept at identifying the scope of testing required based on risks/threats posed. Your ability to articulate testing steps, and effectively translate technical terms to business context will ensure your success in the role.
Familiarity with security control standards and frameworks such as NIST and Essential 8 are essential.
This role will require exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills as you will engage with leadership and executive management. You are confident in managing ambiguity and can deliver against tight deadlines.
