What you’ll do
As Performance Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in crafting and executing strategic campaigns, leveraging your expertise to maximise the impact of our clients' digital presence. Join us in pushing creative boundaries, driving performance metrics, and contributing to the continued success of our innovative campaigns.
In this role, you will lead and execute performance marketing campaigns across various digital channels, optimising client campaigns for maximum ROI and providing strategic insights to drive business growth. Your expertise will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, mentoring team members, staying at the forefront of industry trends, spearheading Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) efforts, leveraging Google Analytics, driving Account Growth by identifying new opportunities, and supporting new business pitches to expand our client portfolio.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for;
Campaign Strategy Execution and Technical Skillset:
- Develop and implement comprehensive performance marketing strategies for clients, encompassing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, SEO, and email marketing.
- Oversee end-to-end campaign planning and execution, from setup to ongoing optimisation, ensuring client KPIs are met and exceeded.
- Conduct A/B testing and stay innovative in exploring new approaches for campaign improvement.
- Sound understanding of the Shopify e-commerce platform.
- Knowledge of Shopify app integration, payment gateways, and third-party tools to enhance e-commerce functionality.
- Familiarity with Shopify analytics and reporting for tracking e-commerce performance.
- Strong expertise in Google Analytics, with a focus on GA4, for advanced data tracking and analysis.
- A sound understanding of the setup and configuration of GA4 properties, events, and custom reports.
- An understanding of managing data-driven goals and conversions in GA4.
- Experience in utilising GA4 data to uncover actionable insights and drive performance improvements.
- Leverage data analytics tools to monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, identifying optimisation opportunities.
- Prepare detailed performance reports and deliver key insights to clients, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
Client Management:
- Cultivate strong client relationships by serving as the main point of contact for performance marketing initiatives.
- Align campaign strategies with client goals and consistently provide strategic recommendations.
- Communicate campaign performance effectively to clients, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value with a focus on providing exceptional client experiences and building strong rapport.
Account Growth:
- Identify opportunities to further develop existing channel remits.
- Successfully identify and introduce new channels and service lines that will help drive additional performance for the brand.
- Look for and act upon opportunities for growth and scaling into new markets and segments.
- Ensure clients are educated around the benefits of the different channels and services available and the opportunities at hand.
- Collaborate with Account Directors to scope and discuss new service lines with clients.
New Business:
- Collaborate with the business development team to support new business pitches by providing insights, expertise, and strategic input.
- Contribute to proposal development, demonstrating the agency's capabilities and unique value propositions.
- Participate in client presentations and meetings to showcase our expertise and capabilities.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth within The Thoughtful Agency.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including designers, copywriters, performance channel experts, and web developers, to ensure the successful execution of campaigns.
Experience you’ll bring

- Strong track record of managing successful digital advertising campaigns.
- Proficiency in using digital advertising platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, and email marketing platforms to deliver exceptional performance marketing results for brands.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from data to optimise campaigns.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- Team leadership and mentoring experience.
- The ability to coach and guide team members.
- Certifications in relevant digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint).
- Creative problem-solving mindset and adaptability to a dynamic industry.

- Reference Checks and Offer: At this final stage of our process we’ll do reference checks with two contacts before extending you an offer.
