What to Expect
We are seeking a full-time Residential Technical Training Specialist for our residential energy channel team across Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you’ll help accelerate the growth of our Powerwall and residential Energy products with our B2B partners, helping them optimise their design and installation of our products, operationalise best practices and unlock constraints to their growth. You’ll be joining a fast-paced team, wearing several hats focused on the success of our B2B channel partners. Besides a rock-solid work ethic and strong team-oriented personality, leaders on our team display excellent communication skills (internal and external), creativity and passion, and a desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting landscape.
What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with the account management teams to drive and strengthen the customer relationship
- Conduct and host product overview, installation and commissioning training with installers and electricians
- Work closely with sales, engineering and marketing teams to coordinate customer visits and events
- Provide day-to-day product and design support to customers and customer-facing teams
- Develop and design technical training content and training models (ideally SAA accredited)
- Develop trusting relationships with installers/partners to understand their product needs and technical challenges
- Engage with the technical support teams to ensure speedy resolution of customer escalations when necessary
- Draft and publish technical documentation for internal and external teams
- Capture and document product and installation feedback for internal teams for product development and improvement
- Develop strategy, processes and metrics to enable ongoing measurement and evaluation of quality in the network of installation partners
- Leverage available audit data and field feedback to track trends and determine appropriate corrective or preventive actions
- This role is expected to travel and visit partners in person across a wide geography, expect 50% travel
What You’ll Bring
- Installation/electrical experience or a degree/relevant experience in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical)
- 5+ years experience in a quality/training or similar role in an operations environment
- Relevant work experience in solar PV or energy storage industry
- In-depth understanding of electrical, solar PV and energy storage fundamentals
- Knowledge of health and safety rules, and best practices applied in the industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to establish effective working relationships throughout the Tesla organisation
