Account Manager, APAC Home Charging
What to Expect
The Residential Energy team is responsible for the sale and deployment of all home energy technologies: Powerwall (battery storage), solar, and home charging. We are seeking a high-performing account manager for our B2B home charging business across APAC. This role will act as the main point of contact for our third-party installer network, from onboarding to training to performance management. In addition, they will identify opportunities to improve our products, tools, and processes to ensure we are providing a best-in-class customer experience for our installers and customers. Based in Sydney, Australia, this role will also support and work with teams across our existing and new markets across Asia Pacific.
What You’ll Do
- Own B2B home charging performance to overall business goals – including sales, growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement programs to maximize Wall Connector attach rates and sales
- Identify, vet, and onboard third-party electrical installers or channel partners
- Forge new partnerships and support/expand existing channel relationships in collaboration with sales and business development teams
- Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to develop and implement installer onboarding process and training improvements
- Support product development by ensuring product & engineering requirements are defined in line with local compliance requirements
- Support the success of new hardware/software product launches working closely with Engineering, Policy, Sales and Marketing, etc.
- Proactively identify major risks to program performance and develop/propose strategies to mitigate
- Leverage insights from customer and market data to analyse Tesla’s position, market share, competitor products, pricing, customer sentiment and success – help identify pain points and opportunities and create and implement plans to address
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of work experience in sales, account management, product management, project management, engineering and/or other related fields
- Charging or Energy industry experience is strongly preferred
- Bi-lingual candidates (Japanese, Mandarin, or Thai a strong plus)
- Extremely organized and comfortable managing a high degree of complexity, and embraces change and rapid pace of work
- Fluency with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, organizational tools (Confluence, JIRA) required
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface with and influence multiple teams at various levels of the organization
