An exciting opportunity for a Partnerships & PR Lead to join our Corporate Affairs team. You’ll manage all inward and outward facing sponsorship and PR activity, working collaboratively with other departments to execute multi-channel campaigns and activity for all Bunnings sponsorships and public relations.
You’ll be responsible for the integration of key campaigns through each partnership, management of partnership agreements, and creation of leverage activity for all Bunnings sponsorship properties including Bunnings’ partnership with NZ Rugby and Touch NZ.
You’ll also work closely with the Media & PR team to coordinate proactive PR activity in the New Zealand market, as well as responding to media inquiries and requests.
What's involved:
- Manage all inward and outward facing sponsorship activity; work with other departments and partners to execute multi-channel sponsorship plans for all Bunnings NZ sponsorships.
- Lead the creation and production of sponsorships assets
- Manage the fulfillment of Bunnings sponsorship benefits and deliverables
- Implement public relations campaigns and strategies to support strategic business objectives
- Manage PR opportunities (proactive & reactive)
- Build and maintain long-term internal and external relationships with stakeholders
- Build and protect Bunnings brand reputation
Who we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate will come from a Communications and/or Marketing background, with experience managing multi-channel campaigns, working with various stakeholders. You’ll confidently be able to manage sponsorship projects end-to-end, from contract negotiation to activation and implementation. You’ll comfortably be able to engage with media, understanding their needs and the local media landscape. You’ll have excellent communication skills, being able to work cross-functionally with a range of both internal and external stakeholders at any given time. This is a dynamic role; you’ll be able to balance multiple priorities.
You’ll need:
- Degree in marketing/communications ideal with 3-5 years of experience in sponsorship management role (agency, rights-holder or client)
- Ability to independently develop sponsorship leverage plans aligned to business priorities
- Ability to independently develop PR campaigns aligned to business objectives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Strong influencing skills - you’ll be able to leverage our partnerships to challenge the norm and do new things
