About the role:
As a Senior Legal Counsel at Tyro, you will report to the General Counsel and be part of a collaborative and high-performing legal team. You will work closely with all business units across Tyro, playing a key role in cross-functional teams that drive the development of new products and solutions for out customers.
What you'll do:

Provide accurate and timely counsel to executives and business stakeholders, covering a variety of legal areas, including financial services, commercial contracting, privacy, data and intellectual property.

Collaborate with Tyro's business units to support the development and launch of new products and initiatives.

Review and provide guidance on commercial contracts and marketing materials to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Stay up to date with legal and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on the business and advising accordingly.

Assist in the development of policies, procedures and training programs to ensure staff understand and comply with relevant legal requirements.

Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.

Communicate and negotiate with counterparties.
What you'll bring:

Five to Eight plus years post-qualification experience.

A current NSW practising certificate.

Proven in-house legal experience is highly regarded.

Demonstrated legal expertise in either financial services law, technology media and telecommunications or employment law.

Strong ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and escalate mattes when necessary.

A commercially focused approach to providing legal advice and support.

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

A keen interest in process improvement and efficiency, including the use of technology-enable solutions.
