About the role:
As the Treasury Officer at Tyro, you will play a vital role in managing and optimising Tyro's cash flow, liquidity and financial transactions. Part of Tyro's wider Finance team, you will ensure the effective handling of daily cash management, payment processing, bank relationships and financial risk management.
What you'll do:
Cash and Liquidity Management:

Monitor and manage Tyro's cash position daily, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

Develop and maintain short and long term cash flow forecasts, aligning with business priorities.
Payment Operations

Oversee payment processes, ensuring timely and secure of both incoming and outgoing payments across multiple platforms.

Work with financial institutions and payment gateways to resolve any payment related issues.

Ensure all payment activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Banking and Relationship Management

Maintain and support relationships with banks and other financial institutions.

Liaise with banks to optimise cash positions, credit lines, and banking services

Negotiate banking terms and fees to enhance financial efficiency.
Risk Management

Identify and mitigate financial risks related to liquidity, foreign exchange and interest rates.

Implement risk management strategies to ensure financial stability.
Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare treasury reports, including cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations and liquidity positions.

Provide variance analysis between forecasted and actual cash flow, helping Tyro understand key financial trends.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate treasury reporting.

Prepare the business pack for the Asset Liability Committee.
Process and Systems Improvement
Compliance and Internal Controls

Ensure treasury activities comply with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.

Maintain accurate treasury records and uphold corporate governance standards.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience in treasury, financial management, or a related role, with exposure to cash flow forecasting and APRA requirements being advantageous.

Strong knowledge of financial regulations, risk management, and investment strategies.

Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and risk management.

Proven skills in influencing across cross functional teams.

Experience in Banking or Financial Services is highly desirable.

Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

Adaptability to changing financial conditions, regulations, and organisational needs.
