How will I help?
Specialised Hosting Services is a team dedicated to providing compute hosting platforms catering for unique application workloads. These platforms includes AIX, AS400, HPe Non-Stop and Solaris.
This role will be responsible for the risk and compliance management obligations across Specialised Hosting Services (Risk Champion). Working closely with the team, suppliers, the broader risk community and other divisions, the role will focus on maturing risk culture and governance, progression of issues and incidents, ensure risk and compliance obligations are actioned and facilitate audit requirements.
Additionally, we are considering candidates from all states for this position.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Assessment of IT risks, including cyber security, operational, infrastructure, software and compliance.
- Documenting and managing issues, exceptions and incidents.
- Evaluating and proposing rating justifications.
- Liaising with various teams across Westpac to facilitate a credible remediation pathway and track progress.
- Collecting and verifying artefacts for closure.
- Maintain knowledge of controls, standards and policies.
- Reporting and Communicating status.
- Working with internal and external auditors.
- Supporting the Specialised Hosting Services team for compliance with controls, policies and standards.
- Continual maturity and improvements to the risk management function within the team.

What do I need?
- Minimum 3 years of experience in information technology in a large organisation.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks, controls and standards.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and work with various stakeholders.
- Be highly organised, resilient and adaptable.
- An ownership mindset, taking accountability and driving results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
- Customer oriented focus.
