About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team. This role will plan and implement a range of marketing and communications activities that build the Care2Serve and Carers Tasmania brands, raise awareness of available supports with carers, and promote the activities of our organisation.
This is a part-time role with negotiable hours, ideally working 3-4 days per week. The position is based at our southern office in Moonah.
Key areas of responsibility
- Planning, developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on marketing and communication strategies, campaigns and projects
- Developing and managing print and web content, including a quarterly events calendar
- Assisting in the management of Care2Serve and Carers Tasmania’s social media accounts
- Coordinating media events and activities and acting as our primary contact person for media enquiries
- Managing and maintaining our website, including ongoing SEO and improving accessibility
- Developing, coordinating and distributing internal and external communications
- Organising promotional events and managing event bookings
Required skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar marketing and communications role
- Excellent working knowledge of social media applications and best practices
- Ability to build and foster effective working relationships with stakeholders and media agencies
- Knowledge of digital campaign planning and delivery across various platforms
- Ability to interpret campaign and website performance metrics
- Experience in use of MS365 suite, Mailchimp, WordPress, EventON, Canva, InDesign, Survey Monkey, and tools that support social media management and SEO
- Formal qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a similar discipline is highly desirable
