Purpose: The Revenue Strategy Analyst will support the commercial strategy & analysis across our brands and ad products for the advertising arm at News Corp. This involves partnering with stakeholders across brands and products to develop opportunities for revenue growth. They will also provide analysis of key metrics such as price, yield, inventory and product mix to drive commercial outcomes for our digital and print ad business.
What’s the role?
- Provide analysis for tactical revenue initiatives such as new and revised ad products, site changes and channel mix to drive revenue growth across digital inventory
- Build commercial models and provide analysis across key metrics such as price, yield, STR and product mix to drive commercial outcomes
- Use analytics and operations support to provide better visibility & decision-making to drive profitability
- Provide recommendations based on current performance to ensure we hit targets, increase revenue potential and maximise utilisation of our digital inventory
- Use a commercial mindset to support digital growth functions across the business and identify areas of opportunity to drive commercialisation
- Monitor and analyse key trends across the digital network to support key decisions and act as the commercial SME revenue opportunities
- Analytical support for stakeholders on both short and long-term revenue strategies
Who are you?
- Commercial and analytical mindset
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and large complex data sets
- Able to interpret and analyse large data sets from multiple sources to provide business recommendations
- Ability to distil and communicate complex solutions into simple terms
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all organisational levels
- Results-orientated with a proven track record delivering against revenue and business objectives
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks without supervision
- Advanced use of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Previous experience working in digital media (desired)
- Strong quantitative background, with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics/ Engineering/ Economics (desired)
