The Opportunity
The Employee Relations Consultant @ Adobe would provide consultation and coaching to employees and managers based in APAC and Japan primarily as a member of APJ Employee Relations team. The consultation and coaching need to be provided in areas such as (but not limited to): complex performance management, investigations, conflict resolution, sensitive exit and termination management. The role would also be a key partner with HR business partners, Employment Legal Counsel and internal stakeholders in developing employee and HR compliance policies and processes.
Highly proactive in nature, the job also includes driving predictive data analysis and trends based on reports & data provided by larger people resources team. The ER consultant would be contributing as a key coach & advisor in maintaining a positive ER environment within the business.
What you will do
-
Engage as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert to coach employees and managers on sensitive work-related issues related such as conflict resolution; demonstrate a solid understanding of company policy, culture and values, and make recommendations to help resolve employment related issues and support necessary course of action between managers and employees to drive positive outcomes.

Partner with managers and provide ER coaching on complex performance matters and assess progress, coach managers and employees through corrective action and disciplinary actions

Handle investigations in compliance and employee related matters, recommend solutions and assist with facilitation of resolution.

Perform preliminary legal, regulatory, and management to assess risk of Involuntary Separations, working with HR Business Partners and Legal.

Facilitate sessions/workshops to equip managers to better handle performance, employee engagement, conflicts, etc.

Drive Manager Enablement with respect to various aspects of employee relations. Coach, counsel, and educate managers based on Adobe’s performance philosophy, Checkin.

Prepare, complete, and timely documentation and reports of findings for all investigations with follow- through on all matters.

Drive proactive management of potential risks – based on data received from reports or from other sources, identify patterns and trends, and develop programs to put corrective plans in place or to minimize risk of issues occurring

Partner with HR Business Partners and business on handling reorganizations

Participate in projects, regionally and internationally, as requested to scale as we grow and provide outstanding outcomes and experience for our internal customers.
What you need to succeed

Minimum 10 years of experience in Employee Relations and/or HR Business Partner role. Minimum 7+ years of experience in Employee Relations

Experience in leading multiple, concurrent, high-priority employee relations activities with a focus on timely and consistent execution

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible

Ability to apply judgment and make decisions on cases and escalations
-
Ability to complete work within constant deadlines/time constraints/SLA environment, with minimal direction

Ability to work autonomously and independently, while contributing to team initiatives.

High degree of ethics and integrity

Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience; legal background a plus

Additional language skills (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean or Thai) highly desired, but not required
