News Corp Australia is seeking a talented Junior/Mid-weight UX Designer to join our Consumer Experience team. Working with some of Australia's most recognised and prestigious media brands, you will partner with the Product and Design teams to help create digital experiences, centred around our consumer and business objectives.
As a Mid-Weight UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our digital products. With the support of the UX Lead, you will have the opportunity to independently lead UX projects, conduct research, design information architectures, and focus on interaction design. Your strong collaboration and communication skills will be essential for building a shared understanding and buy-in amongst stakeholders.
Who are you?
Ideally, you have experience working within a design language system and knowledge of Lean UX practices.
- 2+ years experience as a UX designer.
- Ability to define problems to solve or opportunities to pursue for mid-complexity projects, leveraging user research and business intelligence to inform strategic UX decisions.
- Confidence to conduct both primary and secondary UX research, interpret and synthesise data to generate and communicate actionable insights.
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to create research artefacts, such as user personas, journey maps, and finding reports.
- Experience in designing and iterating user flows and wireframes, adhering to established interaction design principles.
- Demonstrative skills in creating interactive prototypes, with a strong understanding of user experience design and best practices.
- Effective communicator who can facilitate discussions, present solutions, and document decisions while addressing stakeholder concerns with data-backed rationale.
- Advocate for open communication across teams, confidently presenting findings and championing user-centred design in a collaborative environment.
- A self-starter with experience working effectively in a fast-paced and large enterprise.
